Hailing from Tacoma, Eric is the first college graduate in his family. He pursued Waldorf education, childhood education, and community and outdoor recreation and leadership at Western Washington University and Whatcom Community College. While juggling his studies, he took on various jobs, including summer roles in Alaska. Beyond his academic accomplishments, Eric is deeply committed to community involvement and assisting those in need. He has actively supported charitable causes such as organizing a 5,000-mile bike ride to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research, orphans in Ukraine, and human trafficking. Additionally, he fundraised and provided support for education and supplies for local guides in Peru and worked as a Pacific Humpback whale naturalist and snorkel guide in Lahaina, Maui. Locally, he volunteered at the Arne Hana Aquatic Center, teaching vital swimming skills to children with disabilities.

Apart from his dedication to community service, Eric is a child of the 1980s and an aficionado of 90s R&B. He enjoys motorcycling, embarking on new adventures, experiencing van and boat life, and spending quality time with his family and dogs. As a devoted father and stepfather, Eric's nurturing qualities extend to his personal life. Excited about his upcoming marriage to Courtney, Eric looks forward to continuing to build their life together in Bellingham.
